Privacy Policy

Solidauto (“we”, “us”) operates the Doc Reader mobile application (the “App”). This page explains what information the App uses, what it sends off your device, and the choices you have.

Your documents

The App reads the PDF, Office, text and CSV files on your device so you can view, search, rename, share and delete them. Word and PowerPoint files are converted for viewing on your device, and PDFs you create from photos are saved on your device. None of your documents, their contents or their names are ever uploaded to us or to anyone else.

Favourites, recent files, reading progress and display preferences are stored only inside the App on your device, and are removed when you uninstall it.

Information you send us

The in-app Contact & feedback form is optional. When you send a message, we receive:

• What you enter: the topic you choose (report a bug, suggest a feature, ask a question or say thanks), your message, your email address and, if you give one, a star rating.
• Technical details: the App version and build number, Android version and device model, so we can reproduce problems you report.

We use this information only to reply to you and to fix and improve the App. It is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our feedback service, which is hosted on Vercel. We do not sell it, share it with third parties for advertising, or add you to any mailing list. We keep messages only as long as we need them to handle your request, and delete them sooner if you ask.

App updates

The App asks Google Play whether a newer version is available, and installs it through Google Play if you choose to update. That check is handled by Google Play under Google’s Privacy Policy; no information from it is sent to us.

What the App does not do

The App has no advertising, analytics, tracking, crash reporting or user accounts.

When you use Share, or open a document that another app sent to the App, the file passes directly between the two apps on your device. What another app does with a file is governed by its own privacy policy.

Permissions the App requests

All files access MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Lets the library list documents from anywhere on your device. You can skip it and open individual files through the system file picker instead.

Camera CAMERA

Used only when you take photos to create a PDF.

Internet INTERNET

Used only to send messages through Contact & feedback and to check Google Play for updates.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us a message, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can use every feature of the App without sending us anything. To access or delete a message you have sent, email us from the address you used.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page, update the “Last updated” date above and include the new text in the App.
